Air France to Relocate Operations to JFK’s New Terminal One, Unveiling a 29,000-Square-Foot Flagship Lounge
Air France will transition all flight operations to the New Terminal One at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) beginning next year. As part of this strategic hub transition, the carrier will debut a dedicated lounge spanning over 2,700 square meters (approx. 29,000 square feet), marking the largest lounge facility across its entire international network.
Air France’s Largest International Flagship Lounge: Design, Capacity, and Amenities
Co-designed by Air France teams and design agency MARKS Brandimage, the two-story lounge will accommodate more than 400 seated passengers. Engineered to embody the French art of travel, the facility will feature premium hospitality services, including:
- Fine Dining and Bar Services: Dedicated dining spaces centered around French gastronomy, complemented by a curated bar serving premium French wines and champagnes.
- Wellness and Productivity Zones: Designated treatment suites for beauty therapies, rest and relaxation areas, and fully equipped work pods.
- Dedicated Flying Blue Ultimate Enclave: A private space reserved exclusively for top-tier Flying Blue Ultimate members.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Access to the facility will be granted to passengers traveling in the La Première (First Class) and Business cabins, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and eligible premium travelers flying on KLM and SkyTeam alliance partners.
Bespoke Ground Experience for La Première Passengers
La Première travelers will benefit from an end-to-end personalized curbside-to-cabin service from the moment they arrive at JFK’s New Terminal One through boarding.
Inside the lounge, these top-tier passengers will have access to a sequestered enclave featuring a tailored culinary experience curated by a renowned French chef. The passenger journey within the lounge will interface directly with the New Terminal One’s next-generation infrastructure, which integrates modern passenger amenities, biometric-ready technology, and world-class retail and concession options.
Transatlantic Connectivity: Paris–New York Route Profile
During the peak summer season, Air France operates up to 11 daily frequencies between Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and the New York metropolitan area, split between JFK and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR):
- New York-JFK: Up to 6 daily flights operated by Air France mainline, four of which deploy Boeing 777-300ER widebody aircraft fitted with the updated La Première cabin. These are complemented by 3 daily flights operated by transatlantic joint-venture partner Delta Air Lines.
- Newark-EWR: Up to 2 daily direct flights operated by the French flag carrier.
Air France’s full-scale operational migration to the New Terminal One aims to establish a modernized passenger experience baseline at the premier East Coast gateway starting next year.
