Low-cost carrier Wingo has sold out the third edition of its “Destino Oculto” (Hidden Destination) experience in record time, booking up every available seat in just 19 minutes. More than 300 passengers are slated to depart for a mystery itinerary featuring two tropical getaways.
Historic Sales Record for Wingo’s Mystery Flight Concept
At 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, Wingo opened bookings for the third iteration of Destino Oculto. In just 19 minutes, the entire inventory was snapped up, setting a new all-time sales benchmark for the airline.
On October 22, more than 300 travelers will depart from Bogota and Medellin bound for an undisclosed location. This edition sets itself apart by featuring two tropical destinations within a single four-day, three-night all-inclusive package.
The mystery itinerary was designed in partnership with Corona and O Boticario.

Driven by Strong Demand and the Thrill of the Unknown
The airline pointed to evolving passenger behavior and robust demand for travel experiences anchored in anticipation and adventure.
“Destino Oculto has become one of our most anticipated offerings. The fact that more than 300 travelers booked a flight without knowing their final destination—and that all inventory was snapped up in just 19 minutes—speaks to the strong rapport we have built around the excitement of traveling into the unknown. At Wingo, our goal is to continue surprising the market with distinct, memorable experiences that make us true partners in our passengers’ getaways,” said Jorge Jimenez, Vice President of Commercial and Planning at Wingo.
Evolution of Destino Oculto: Breaking Its Own Records
The concept has seen a steady acceleration in booking velocity across successive rollouts:
- First Edition (2024): The concept debuted with a flight to the Dominican Republic, selling out all seats in under 24 hours.
- Second Edition (2025): The journey headed to Montego Bay, Jamaica, booking out its inventory in 32 minutes.
- Third Edition (2026): Set a new benchmark of 19 minutes, shaving 13 minutes off the 2025 record.
Over the coming days, the 300-plus booked passengers will receive packing guidelines and clues to help them prepare for the trip. However, the exact identity of the two getaways will remain strictly confidential and will only be revealed once the aircraft touch down at the final destination.
