Copa Airlines is set to strengthen its operations in Venezuela by adding a fifth weekly frequency on the Panama City – Barcelona route. The move directly addresses the steady growth in international travel demand from eastern Venezuela and aims to optimize passenger flow to global destinations.
Capacity Increase
The additional service will inject approximately 1,300 monthly seats into the link between Panama City and Barcelona, providing travelers from eastern Venezuela with greater schedule flexibility for their itineraries.
Effective November 16, flights will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Regarding the onboard product, the carrier will maintain its standard service offerings across all flights on the route:
- Business Class: Executive cabin availability on all operations.
- Comfort: Reclining seats with ample legroom throughout the entire aircraft.
- Complimentary Service: Food and beverage service provided to all passengers, regardless of fare class or stage length.
Global Connectivity via the Hub of the Americas®
The expansion of this route is designed to feed passenger traffic into the airline’s primary connection hub in Panama City, enabling seamless transit to key markets across the Americas.
“We are truly proud to announce the expansion of our operations in Barcelona, a market that has demonstrated consistent growth and a strong demand for international connectivity options. With this new frequency, we are offering our passengers more convenient scheduling choices,” said Roberto Pulido, General Manager for Copa Airlines in Venezuela.
Through the Hub of the Americas® in Panama City, passengers traveling to and from Barcelona gain access to a network serving more than 85 destinations across North, Central, and South America, as well as the Caribbean, backed by over 385 daily departures across the region.
