Panama: Tocumen Airport mobilized more than 54.000 passengers the first week of reopening.

Since the Panamanian government made official the reopening of the borders to commercial flights last October 12, Tocumen International Airport has registered in the first 8 days of operations a movement of 54,041 passengers.

The international reopening of the skies for regular operations has resulted in 10,691 people entering the country through the “Hub of the Americas” as of October 20.

While in the same period, a total of 7,675 people have used the terminal facilities to depart to various destinations. On connecting flights, 36,675 passengers have transited.

The airport reported that 8 airlines have already re-established their air routes to and from Panama, Copa Airlines, Air France, Wingo, Iberia, United Airlines, KLM, American Airlines and Spirit. Since October 26th Avianca has been incorporated and as of November 1st Turkish Airlines has been added.
