Tata-Boeing joint venture to manufacture 737 Max wing structures in India.
Boeing announced Friday the addition of a new production line at its Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL) joint venture to manufacture complex vertical fin structures for the 737 family of aircraft.

The expansion marks an important milestone for the joint venture and reaffirms the commitment to make India self-sufficient in defense manufacturing, according to a joint press release from Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) and Boeing.

TASL managing director and CEO Sukaran Singh said the expansion of aerostructure manufacturing capabilities with the new production line was another milestone in the company’s collaboration with Boeing.
Boeing India president Salil Gupte said Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited was an example of Boeing’s commitment toward co-development of integrated aerospace and defense systems in India for the world.
Spread over 14,000 square meters, the state-of-the-art facility has been producing aerostructures for Boeing’s AH-64 Apache helicopter, including airframes, secondary structures and vertical boxes for customers worldwide, the statement added.
