Copa Airlines expects take delivery of 8 737 MAX aircraft this year.
Panama’s Copa Airlines announced Thursday that it expects to take delivery of eight additional Boeing 737 MAX aircraft in 2021.
The airline, which had six MAX aircraft prior to approval to resume flights with the model, has taken delivery of four new 737 MAX 9s. One arrived in December and the other three have arrived between January and February 2021.

Copa, which has orders for up to 61 MAX aircraft, resumed flights with these aircraft on December 30, 2020, operating a flight between Panama City and San Jose, Costa Rica.
Airline executives have indicated that the MAX aircraft have operated without problems, and that passengers have not refused to fly on the aircraft either.
