Copa Airlines announces new route Panama-Armenia starting in December.

Copa Airlines announced Monday that it will begin operations in the Colombian city of Armenia, capital of the department of Quindio, on December 2, the airline’s first new destination since the pandemic began.

With the incorporation of Armenia, the airline strengthens its offer in Colombia, connecting eight cities in the country with 58 destinations in 28 countries throughout the continent, through the Hub of the Americas, located at Tocumen International Airport in Panama.

“We are pleased to announce our first new route since the pandemic began in March 2020. It is part of our vision as a leading airline to increase the connectivity of cities in the continent, thus contributing to the economic and cultural development of the region. We are confident that Armenia will be part of this,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.

The Copa Airlines flight will initially operate 3 weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, departing at 11:36 a.m. from Panama and arriving at El Eden International Airport at 12:58 p.m. The return flight will depart from Armenia at 3:58 p.m., arriving in Panama at 5:18 p.m. The route will be operated by a Boeing 737-700 with capacity for 12 passengers in Business Class and 112 passengers in the main cabin.
