Alaska never received a single aircraft from this order, as it wanted to move to a fleet focused on Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. However, it held the order for quite some time before finally canceling it.
In its quarterly report released Thursday, Alaska Airlines detailed that its backlog consists of only 74 firm Boeing 737 MAX 9s and 12 Embraer E175s.
