Venezuela: Conviasa prepares to reactivate flights at Merida airport.
The state-owned airline Conviasa is preparing to reactivate commercial operations at the Alberto Carnevalli National Airport in the city of Merida, Venezuela, as announced by Jehyson Guzman, deputy to the National Assembly.

“I have spoken with Ramón Velásquez Araguayán, president of Conviasa. He informed me that a ‘Grand Caravan’ model aircraft (Cessna 208 B) with a capacity of twelve passengers has been authorized to start test flights”, according to the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
Guzmán assured that these Conviasa tests will pave the way for the start of commercial flights and for the eventual consolidation of a stable air route to the capital of Merida, in addition to the flights arriving at the Juan Pablo Pérez Alfonzo Airport in El Vigia.
