Spain: Icelandair launches discounts to Iceland, USA and Canada this winter

Icelandair has resumed its main connections between Spain and Iceland, now operating a total of 10 weekly frequencies from Alicante, Barcelona, Madrid and Tenerife South.

Looking ahead to the 2023-2024 winter season, the Icelandic flag carrier continues to increase its flight capacity, with an expected increase of 20-25%.

The main novelty for the winter season is that Icelandair will maintain its direct operations between Barcelona and Reykjavik, with flights every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. These connections will connect for the first time in the airline’s history the city of Barcelona with destinations in the USA and Canada such as Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, Orlando, Portland, Raleigh or Vancouver.

To celebrate this milestone, Icelandair has just launched an exclusive promotion for bookings until June 12 for travel between October 1, 2023 and February 29, 2024, with fares to fly to Iceland and North America starting from 299 euros in Economy Class or from 699 euros in Saga Class.

Free stopover on flights between Spain and North America

Icelandair was one of the first airlines to offer free stopover service in Iceland on flights between Europe and North America. Currently all travelers can make a stopover of up to 7 days at no additional cost in the airfare.
