Madrid-Barajas Airport expands the Plaza Mayor VIP Lounge in T4

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has expanded the VIP Lounge in Terminal T4 in order to meet the high demand for this space, while improving service and customer experience by adapting it to the needs of passengers.

The actions carried out have made it possible to increase the available surface area of the hall from just over 580 m2 to 780 m2, thus improving its functionality with several different areas.

With these improvement and adaptation works, the capacity of the hall has been increased by 55% to be able to serve 161 passengers at the same time, in a comfortable environment.

The expansion has also included the incorporation of modern furniture typical of this type of services, of great design and quality, equipped with rest, work and catering furniture, hot and cold food display and wall display case for beverages and refrigerated food.

In total, the expansion and refurbishment works carried out in the lounge and the furniture provided have involved an investment of close to 600,000 euros.

With the remodeling, the Plaza Mayor VIP lounge, located in the boarding area of T4 in the center of the building, now has several spaces with 2 catering service areas and 2 lounge areas.

VIP and Premium Lounges

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport has another 4 VIP lounges distributed throughout its different terminals in order to improve the experience of those passengers who want to enjoy a more relaxed space before boarding their flight. These lounges are the Cibeles lounge in T1, Puerta de Alcalá in T2, Puerta del Sol in T3 and Neptuno in T4S.

In addition to these spaces, the Premium Lounge, expanded and renovated a year ago, offers a more complete and exclusive service, including its own parking and security filter, personalized transfer and escort service to the aircraft, as well as assistance with check-in, document controls and baggage collection.

All airport lounges have been increasing the quality of their facilities, services and offerings in recent years. It is worth mentioning that its gastronomic offer is designed by the Green Michelin Star chef, Rodrigo de la Calle, who has been advising Aena since 2020.
