American Airlines inaugurates flights between Miami and Ocho Rios, Jamaica
American Airlines inaugurated this Saturday its flights between Miami (Florida) and Ian Fleming International Airport in Ocho Rios, its third destination in Jamaica.
The new route will operate twice a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) in an Embraer 175 aircraft, with capacity for 76 passengers.

“American has a more than 45-year commitment to Jamaica and today we are proud to strengthen our presence with a third destination in the country, Ocho Rios,” said Jose Maria Giraldo, General Manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. “We are excited to open the doors of Ocho Rios to travelers from around the world by connecting this beautiful destination to our hub in Miami, the largest international gateway in the United States.”
With the launch of American’s third destination in Jamaica, the airline will further expand its strong schedule on the island, reaching more than 100 weekly flights during the winter, offering service to Kingston from Miami; to Montego Bay from Miami, Boston, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York (JFK) and Philadelphia; and to Ocho Rios from Miami.
