Bogota’s El Dorado Airport, in partnership with the wellness and mental health platform Cuéntame, launches the campaign: “Tus emociones te llaman” (Your emotions are calling you). Through this initiative, emotional support booths were installed in the air terminal, where travelers will find audiovisual content designed for situations of stress, fear of flying, and anxiety; in addition, they will be guided through practical exercises, such as breathing techniques, which allow travelers to calm and manage their emotions, thus contributing to a calmer travel experience.

When traveling, people experience a wide range of emotions, making it increasingly necessary to create spaces that promote emotional well-being and calm. This initiative is aligned with El Dorado airport’s efforts to continuously improve the experience of its travelers.

“This is a space of awareness about the importance of working on mental wellness, we want travelers passing through the terminal to find the tools to manage stress or anxiety that may cause them the experience when traveling. This will be a key resource to contribute to the construction of the airport as a space of calm and respect for everyone, travelers and airport community,” said Natalí Leal, General Manager of OPAIN – airport concessionaire.

The emotional support booths will be located at pier D for domestic departures and pier B for international departures. This is an issue of special relevance, both regionally and globally, given that in Latin America, mental health problems represent almost 30% of the disease burden, and according to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 2.5% of the world’s population suffers from aerophobia, that is, fear of flying.

The partnership between Cuéntame and El Dorado Airport promotes mental health as a fundamental right. With our Wellness Booths, we offer travelers a safe space to manage emotions, from joy to anxiety, in an environment as dynamic as the airport,” commented Regina Athie, CEO of Cuéntame.
