Growth in the Colombian Market
With the addition of this route, Aeroméxico will operate a total of 70 weekly flights between Mexico and Colombia, representing a 25% increase in its operations in the South American country. This translates to a weekly offering of 11,600 seats, strengthening connectivity between both nations and promoting tourism and business in the region.
Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeroméxico, expressed his enthusiasm for this new milestone for the airline: “It is a great pride for us to inaugurate the third direct route that increases connectivity between Mexico and Colombia by 25% and brings both countries closer than ever.”
“As Mexico’s global airline, we add this milestone to our recognition as the most punctual airline in the world and to our 90 years of bringing the best of Mexico to every destination we fly to,” added Mulinelli.
Earlier this month, the airline announced that it will fly to Cali starting next summer. Aeroméxico is expected to provide further details on the start date of this operation in the coming weeks.
