Air Transat Expands Winter 2025-2026 Routes to Bordeaux and Valencia
Canadian airline Air Transat announced on Monday the expansion of its routes to Bordeaux and Valencia for the 2025-2026 winter season. Previously exclusive to summer operations, these destinations will now be served starting in February.
Beginning February 21, 2026, a weekly non-stop flight will operate every Saturday from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport to both cities, using an Airbus A321LR.
France: A Strengthened Key Market
The addition of Bordeaux during the winter complements Air Transat’s existing services to Lyon, Marseille, and Nantes, further solidifying the airline’s commitment to the French market.

“By expanding our presence in France and Spain during the winter, we are taking another step toward making our transatlantic program available year-round,” explained Sebastian Ponce, Transat’s Chief Revenue Officer. “Bordeaux reinforces our presence in the French provinces, a priority for Air Transat.”
Valencia: A Rising Destination
Valencia, whose inaugural flight is scheduled for June 20, 2025, will now see continuity during the winter, thanks to the anticipated success of this route. This destination joins Madrid and Malaga in the airline’s winter offerings, reflecting the region’s growing popularity.
“Its extension into the winter season is a testament to this destination’s potential,” Ponce emphasized.
