Aeroméxico inaugurated its non-stop route between Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and Panama City this Thursday, strengthening its presence in Central America.
The daily flight will depart from Mexico City at 08:55 and arrive in Panama at 13:47 (local time). The return flight from Panama will take off at 15:06, landing in Mexico at 17:45 (local time). The operation is carried out using Boeing 737 aircraft equipped with onboard Wi-Fi, personal entertainment screens, and the modern Sky Interior lighting system.
Panama has established itself as a key destination for tourists and investors. In 2025, the Panama Tourism Authority expects to surpass 2.2 million visitors, representing a 9% growth compared to 2024. The province of Chiriquí, with its cloud forests, volcanoes, and high-altitude coffee plantations, was recognized by Lonely Planet as one of the world’s top 10 must-visit regions. Meanwhile, Panama City has held the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy distinction since 2017 and is home to five restaurants ranked among Latin America’s 100 Best.

World-Class Infrastructure
Tocumen International Airport, Panama’s primary air hub, operates over 90 direct destinations with more than 20 airlines. Its strategic location, modern infrastructure, and efficient services make it an ideal gateway for international travelers and a privileged access point for Mexicans looking to explore Central America or connect with other regions of the continent.
This new Aeroméxico route not only reduces travel time between Mexico City and Panama but also represents a concrete step forward in economic and cultural integration between the two countries.
