Air Transat announced this Thursday the launch of a new year-round direct route between Toronto and Istanbul, with operations set to begin on December 6, 2025. This connection will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, marking a strategic move to enhance Canadian access to key destinations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
Borderless Connectivity: Partnership with Turkish Airlines
The Canadian airline also confirmed an interline agreement with Turkish Airlines, one of the world’s leading carriers. This collaboration will allow passengers to combine itineraries from both airlines, opening a wide range of options for travelers departing from Canada to multiple international destinations beyond Istanbul.

Strengthening Air Transat’s Network from Toronto
This new route also expands Air Transat’s presence at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Thanks to its joint venture with Porter Airlines, travelers from regions such as Western Canada, Ottawa, Montreal, and the Maritime provinces will enjoy seamless connections to Istanbul from their home cities.
Tickets for this new service will be available for booking in the coming days, allowing travelers to plan ahead for their flights to the vibrant Turkish city and beyond.
