Delta Air Lines has officially revealed its new “Distinctly Delta” uniform collection, a proposal that goes beyond corporate attire to become a symbol of pride, purpose, and evolution. Designed by Lands’ End and developed in collaboration with more than 65,000 employees from Airport Customer Service, Technical Operations, and In-Flight Crew areas, this collection marks the beginning of a new era for the airline.

Ranjan Goswami, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience Design, sums it up clearly: “There is no better manifestation of the Delta brand than the people who wear our uniform. This launch represents a new era for Delta, honoring the past and designing a premium, timeless collection that guides us into the next 100 years.”

Functional Design with a Human Focus

Every garment in the collection has been conceived to withstand real working conditions. From teams on the ramp exposed to extreme weather, to flight attendants crossing multiple climate zones in a single day, the design prioritizes comfort and performance. Details like pocket placement and fabric selection were defined by those who will wear these pieces, with every stitch intended to offer style and durability.

Ekrem Dimbiloglu, Managing Director of Uniforms and Onboard Brand Experience, highlights the uniform’s symbolic value: “It’s not just a garment; it’s a reflection of who we are. Every person who wears it should feel proud to say, ‘I am Delta.'”

Certified Textile Safety

Safety, a non-negotiable principle at Delta for a century, is also reflected in this collection. All pieces meet the industry’s leading standards, including the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX certification, which guarantees excellence in fabric safety.

Iconic Colors and Reimagined Signature Pieces

Delta’s visual identity remains intact in this new proposal. The airline’s classic colors return with names inspired by aviation: Navigator Navy, Boarding Burgundy, and Runway Red, the latter reserved for the Red Coats. Furthermore, the shade Powerful Pink is incorporated, honoring the 20-year partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which employees will continue to wear proudly every October.

The collection does not seek to replace, but to evolve. A clear example is the return of the iconic wrap dress, originally introduced in the 2000s and requested by employees themselves. “Delta crewmembers were iconic walking through the terminal in that dress. It was very Delta,” recalls Dimbiloglu. “Our employees asked for it to come back, and we did so without hesitation.”

Elite Collection and Exclusive Collaborations

For the first time in the airline’s history, elite service roles—such as Red Coats, Sky Club ambassadors, and onboard Pursers—will be unified under the Elite Collection. This line is distinguished by subtle jacquard patterns that incorporate Delta’s emblematic Widget.

Additionally, Delta is partnering with the Italian fashion house Missoni to design refined accessories like scarves, ties, and pocket squares, which complement the onboard experience with Missoni’s characteristic craftsmanship and Delta’s timeless style.

The Bombas brand also joins as a partner, contributing its renowned comfortable socks in black with distinctive Delta elements, designed for employees both on the ground and in flight.

Heading Towards the Centennial with a Forward-Looking Vision

The Distinctly Delta collection is the result of a collaborative process that places employees at the heart of every design decision. This launch coincides with the airline’s centennial and projects its vision towards the next 100 years.

“We are dressing not just for the present, but for the Delta we are building,” concludes Dimbiloglu.

The wear-testing phase will begin in the summer of 2026, and all employees are expected to adopt the new collection by 2027.
