Impact of the Low-Cost Model in the Region

Wingo has maintained an uninterrupted presence in Venezuela since 2017. According to data provided by the company, operational performance has shown remarkable solidity:

  • Passengers Carried: More than 350,000 people have traveled between Colombia and Venezuela via the airline since the start of operations].
  • Recent Growth: In 2025 alone, the airline transported 98,388 passengers on its binational routes, evidencing sustained demand.
  • Competitive Advantage: Wingo’s fares are positioned approximately 20% lower than other operators in Colombia. For the Valencia–Bogota route, prices have been announced starting at USD 105 per leg, with all taxes and fees included.

Projections and Future Connectivity

The inclusion of Valencia is not the airline’s only strategic move in Venezuela. Wingo also has its sights set on the leisure tourism sector, with a previously announced upcoming operation between Bogota and Margarita Island.

This suite of initiatives facilitates access to air travel through competitive pricing and positions Bogota as a fundamental connection hub for Venezuelan passengers seeking access to other international destinations through the Colombian market.
