SKY has announced the launch of “Economy Premier,” a new travel experience designed for passengers seeking a higher level of comfort and efficiency on their flights. This initiative aims to transform routine stages of the journey into smoother, more comfortable dynamics, all while maintaining the affordable fare structure that characterizes the airline’s business model.
New Service Details and In-Cabin Benefits
The new Economy Premier product is already on sale and will be implemented on domestic and international flights starting August 5. The service focuses on delivering a pleasant, expedited, and efficient experience from start to finish, centering its advantages directly on passenger convenience.
To access this experience, passengers must purchase a seat in the first three rows of the aircraft. The tangible benefits associated with this product include:
- Airport Priority: Priority boarding and deplaning dynamics.
- Enhanced Comfort: Seats offering additional legroom.
- Guaranteed Baggage: Access to exclusively reserved space in the overhead bins for carry-on luggage.
- Onboard Service: Inclusion of a complimentary snack service, with options varying based on flight duration.

Upgrades and Benefits for the SKY Plus Loyalty Program
The rollout of this product is also integrated into the ecosystem of benefits for the airline’s frequent flyers. Passengers with Platinum status in the SKY Plus program—who have purchased or redeemed a standard seat—will have the option to receive a complimentary upgrade to Economy Premier.
To redeem this benefit, Platinum customers can use one of their eight annual upgrade certificates. The request process must be carried out directly at the airport check-in counter or at the boarding gate, with approval subject to seat availability in the designated rows.
Evolution of Value Proposition and Operational Excellence
According to Sergio Iglesias, Customer Manager at SKY, the offering focuses on the details that passengers truly value during their journey. “We know that peace of mind is fundamental, which is why we developed an experience that elevates flying comfort without losing the accessibility that defines SKY,” the executive stated.
The introduction of Economy Premier is part of the airline’s continuous evolution to improve the cabin experience. This transformation strategy has previously achieved milestones such as retrofitting its entire fleet to offer reclining seats and the successful rollout of its loyalty program, which now exceeds 2 million members who accumulate and redeem points for unrestricted flights.
