LEVEL, the IAG-owned low-cost long-haul airline headquartered at its primary base in Barcelona-El Prat, has announced an expansion of its transatlantic capacity to South America. Effective March 15, 2027, the carrier will introduce a fourth weekly frequency on its route connecting Barcelona with Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru.
With this strategic move, the airline aims to meet robust demand recorded since the service was launched on June 3, strengthening direct point-to-point connectivity between Catalonia and the Andean region throughout the Northern Hemisphere’s peak summer season, with the expanded schedule running through late September 2027.
Flight Schedule and Connectivity Details
With the addition of a new flight scheduled for Mondays, LEVEL’s operational schedule on the Barcelona–Lima route will feature four weekly frequencies:
- Days of Operation: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
- Sales Channels: Tickets are currently available on the airline’s official web platform and across its travel agency distribution network.
“The addition of a fourth weekly frequency to Lima reflects the excellent market reception this route has enjoyed since its launch and allows us to offer greater flexibility to our customers when planning their travel. Furthermore, this expansion reinforces our commitment to connecting Barcelona with the Americas through a direct flight offering tailored to our passengers’ needs,” noted Carla Ormeño, Head of Network at LEVEL.
