Aviation analytics firm Cirium has released its monthly On-Time Performance (OTP) report for September 2026. In the “Global Airlines” category, China’s Hainan Airlines claimed the top spot, achieving an on-time arrival rate of 92.71%.
In North America, WestJet secured first place with an 85.31% on-time performance rate. Delta Air Lines took second place at 82.52%, while Alaska Airlines rounded out the top three at 80.73%.
Across the Latin American market, Sky Airline led the ranking with 91.52% of its flights arriving on schedule. It was followed by Copa Airlines at 90.45%, Volaris at 90.07%, Aeroméxico at 89.67%, and Avianca at 87.90%.

In Europe, Austrian Airlines emerged as the operational leader with an 86.01% on-time arrival rate. Iberia placed second at 85.62%, while SAS completed the podium with 84.68%.
In the Asia-Pacific region, Hainan Airlines spearheaded the list at 92.71%. Trinity Airways secured the second spot with 89.03%, followed by Air New Zealand in third place with 87.57%.
In the Middle East and Africa, Gulf Air claimed the top position with an on-time performance of 92.90%. Royal Jordanian followed in second place with 92.14%, and Safair finished third with 91.67%.
