One of the suspects in the downing of flight MH17 denies any participation in the trial.
One of the four suspects being tried in absentia for the 2014 downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 has denied any involvement with the firing of the missile used in its destruction, a lawyer in court said Monday, Reuters reported.

The MH17 was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down by a missile fired from pro-Russian rebel territory during fighting in eastern Ukraine. All 298 people on board were killed.
After an international investigation that lasted almost six years, four defendants were tried in absentia in March, of whom only Oleg Pulatov has instructed a lawyer to defend him.
“He did not contribute and was not involved. Moreover, he did not have and does not have any knowledge of how and why the MH17 was shot down,” said his lawyer Sabine ten Doesschate at the Hague District Court.
