Its 19 members advocate the improvement and implementation of testing protocols, both prior to departure and at destination when necessary, to enable the safe reopening of borders and provide an effective alternative to quarantine.
SkyTeam believes that the scalable and reliable COVID-19 rapid tests, deployed in cooperation with local airport authorities and government agencies, will provide the security needed to reopen the borders and offer customers greater peace of mind.

“Flying is the engine of the world economy. With international passenger numbers down 92% from last year, there is an urgent need to promote business recovery by restoring customer confidence in air travel through a globally standardized testing solution,” said Walter Cho, Chairman of the SkyTeam Alliance Board of Directors.
Standardized and accurate passenger testing would further enhance the extensive program of personal security measures implemented by the 19 SkyTeam members earlier this year to help protect customers and employees.
