“For us the Kayak Awards have always had a very special meaning because they come directly from our clients and travelers. Receiving this recognition in the midst of such difficult times and adverse situations commits us even more to improving and ensuring that our clients continue to travel with us with peace of mind and the best safety standards,” said María Paula Duque, Vice President of Strategic Relations and Customer Experience for Avianca.
The methodology of this award was based on the opinions registered by travelers during 2019. To participate in the awards, the airlines selected for each of the regions of the United States and Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific had to receive a minimum of 150 comments.
Avianca has already been recognized by travelers on other occasions in international awards, such as 5 Star Airline in the “Major Airline” category of the Apex Awards, as “Best Comfort” and “Best Entertainment” in the Kayak Awards or as the airline with “Best Passenger Comfort” in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards for Airlines in 2019.
