The UAE General Authority for Civil Aviation said in a statement, “A minor collision occurred this morning between two aircraft, one belonging to Fly Dubai and the other to Gulf Air, on a taxiway at Dubai International Airport, resulting in minor damage to the tail of one of the two aircraft and the wing of the other, no persons were reported injured.”

“As a result, one runway was temporarily closed to allow the incident to be managed quickly. Operations at DXB were not affected and the runway was reopened after two hours,” a spokesman for Dubai Airports told Reuters.
