Cirium, the specialist aviation industry analyst firm, presented its 2021 On-time Performance Review, where Panama’s Copa Airlines emerged as the winner as the most punctual airline in Latin America.
The Panamanian airline, which is recovering strongly and operating its expanding flight schedules, achieved a very high level of punctuality with 90.3% of its flights on time.
→ Copa Airlines will resume flights to Rosario, Argentina, beginning in February.
Copa was closely followed by Aerolíneas Argentinas with 89.2% of its flights on time, and Brazil’s Azul with 88.9%.
In fourth place was Avianca with 86.6% and in fifth place Sky Airline with 85.0%.
In the North America category, Delta Air Lines took home the award with 87.7% of its flights arriving on time, beating Alaska Airlines with 81.7% and American Airlines with 80.5%.
