Aerolineas Argentinas presented its new route network to Brazil

Aerolíneas Argentinas presented its new route network to and from the Republic of Brazil at a presentation held at the Argentine Embassy in Brazil.

The event was attended by the Argentine ambassador in Brazil, Daniel Scioli; the commercial director of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Fabián Lombardo and the executive secretary of Inprotur, Ricardo Sosa. Also present were the Vice Governor of the Federal District, Paco Britto, the Secretary of Tourism of the Federal District, Vanessa Mendoça, the Vice President of Inframerica, Juan Djedjeian and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Brazil and Embratur.

Aerolineas Argentinas will resume its daily flights to Madrid.

There, the details of the expansion of the offer that Aerolíneas Argentinas is making were announced.

On the one hand, the new route that will connect Salta – Sao Paulo – Salta, 3 times a week as from July and that will allow the connection with minimum times to Tucumán. On the other hand, the 3 routes to and from Brasilia, Curitiba and Porto Alegre, which will be added to the regular offer together with Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Florianópolis and Salvador de Bahía.

In the case of Brasilia, the first flight will take place on April 5 from Aeroparque and will have 4 weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Aerolineas Argentinas reached pre-pandemic levels during carnival holidays.

Curitiba will have its inaugural flight on April 4 and will have 4 frequencies on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Porto Alegre will also have its first flight on the same date and will have 4 weekly frequencies.

The Argentine Ambassador to Brazil, Daniel Scioli, commented on the flights: “Direct air connectivity with Brasilia will boost regional tourism, commercial exchange and reciprocal institutional presence between both countries. These flights symbolize our idea of building bridges, in this case by air, uniting, generating links and deepening the relationship with Brazil.”

“The Brazilian market is the most important market for Aerolíneas Argentinas. This flight offer aims to recover traffic in both the corporate and tourist segments. We are convinced that we are offering a varied and attractive product that is up to the demand,” explained Fabián Lombardo, Aerolíneas Argentinas’ Commercial Director.

Aerolíneas Argentinas currently operates 18 weekly frequencies to and from Sao Paulo, 14 weekly to and from Rio de Janeiro, 7 weekly to Florianópolis, 3 weekly to Salvador de Bahía, 3 weekly between Córdoba and Rio de Janeiro and another 3 weekly between Córdoba and Florianópolis. A total of 49 flights will be available per week, starting in April, between Argentina and Brazil.
