GOL wins award for best Wi-Fi in South America

GOL Linhas Aéreas, Brazil’s largest airline, received an unprecedented award last Wednesday, recognizing its efforts to offer the best travel experience to customers through the GOL Way of Serving. The Passenger Choice Award® 2022 winner for the best Wi-Fi in South America was presented by APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association) during the APEX Content Market, held in conjunction with the Future Travel Experience (FTE) – EMEA-Ancillary – World Airport Retailing Summit, June 7-9.

APEX is a global non-profit organization and one of the largest international airline associations, and aims to energize the industry with the support of leading airlines and suppliers. APEX calls itself “an association of companies and professionals who create, deliver and manage the air passenger experience”.

For this year’s award, APEX once again partnered with TripIt by Concur, the world’s top-rated travel planning app, to collect anonymous passenger feedback and arrive at the APEX Passenger Choice Award finalists. Nearly one million flights were evaluated by customers from more than 600 airlines worldwide, using a scale of up to five stars. Passengers also had the opportunity to provide anonymous ratings in five sub-categories: Seat Comfort, Cabin Service, Food & Beverage, Entertainment and Wi-Fi (in which GOL was the regional winner).

Concession of 15 airports in Brazil authorized.

Next October will mark 6 years since GOL offered its Customers in-flight entertainment, a system that was a pioneer in Latin America.
