José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, which serves the Colombian city of Medellín, informed on Tuesday that Mexican airline Viva Aerobus will no longer provide services to and from that air terminal.
The airline began operations in Medellin on April 8, 2022, and flew to the city from Cancun and Mexico City. Its last flight was on June 9.
→ Viva Aerobus to reactivate its operations at Toluca Airport.
“The airport administration received a communiqué from Viva Aerobus informing them of the decision to cancel the two routes,” the airport said in a statement published on social networks.
Viva Aerobus will continue to operate to and from the Colombian capital, with the Mexico City-Bogota and Cancun-Bogota routes and from October between Guadalajara and Bogota.
