Conviasa inaugurated new route between Caracas and Guangzhou, China

The Venezuelan airline Conviasa inaugurated this Saturday its new route between Caracas and the Chinese city of Guangzhou, which will make a stopover in Tehran, Iran, according to the Maiquetía International Airport Institute (IAIM) via Twitter.

The activity was attended by the Minister of Transportation and President of Conviasa, Ramón Celestino Velásquez, and the General Director of IAIM, Freddy Borges Flores, among other local authorities.

Iberia will resume flights to Venezuela in October.

“Conviasa launched this Saturday its new international route Caracas – Guangzhou within the framework of the consolidation of the expansion of its trade routes to interconnect Venezuela with the world,” said the IAIM, the country’s main airport, which serves the capital.

“The route will have regular flights to Guangzhou with a stopover in Tehran, Iran, guaranteeing the connection to China, thanks to the association with allied airlines,” detailed the IAIM.

Conviasa also plans to open a direct flight between Caracas and Doha starting in October.
