Emirates announced on Thursday that it will restore its non-stop services with the Airbus A380 to Auckland (New Zealand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from December 1.
The airline currently operates to both cities with a Boeing 777-300ER, calling at Kuala Lumpur before continuing on to Auckland. The start of flights with the A380 will see both cities go offline and receive direct services to and from Dubai.
→ Emirates to suspend flights to Nigeria from September.
The non-stop service between Dubai and Auckland is the longest route in the Emirates network, at 14,200 km, as well as being one of the longest scheduled non-stop commercial flights in the world, which had been suspended due to the pandemic.
The airline is accelerating the deployment of its flagship aircraft, the A380, in line with growing global demand for air travel, with 32 destinations currently served on a scheduled basis, with more to be announced in the coming months.
