Copa Airlines recognized as the “Best Airline in Central America and the Caribbean”
Panama’s Copa Airlines has been recognized for the seventh consecutive year by Skytrax as the “Best Airline in Central America and the Caribbean” and “Best Airline Staff in Central America and the Caribbean”. The awards, considered among the most prestigious in the aviation industry, were presented at an awards ceremony in London, United Kingdom.
“To receive this prestigious Skytrax award is a source of pride, as it reflects the commitment, dedication and teamwork of Copa Airlines employees, who work with passion to offer the world-class service that sets us apart in all the destinations where we operate, and which is once again recognized by our passengers. It also confirms once again that the service and punctuality of our flights is a differentiating factor that allows us to consolidate our position as the leader in the region,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.

The World Airline Awards are administered by the international air transport rating organization, Skytrax Research of London, UK, which is dedicated to analyzing and comparing the quality of airlines and airports in 14 regions around the world. To establish the results, a major customer service survey was conducted, assessing key indicators of quality, performance, overall travel experience and aspects of passenger satisfaction.
The survey, better known as “The Passenger’s Choice Awards,” was conducted between September 2021 and August 2022, and received 13.42 million responses from users of more than 100 nationalities, who considered which airlines are the best according to the categories evaluated out of more than 350 airlines.
Copa Airlines currently operates an average of 300 daily flights through its Hub of the Americas, located at Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport, connecting 76 cities in 32 countries throughout the Americas. In early 2022, the airline was also recognized for the eighth consecutive year by Cirium as “The Most Punctual Airline in Latin America.
