Mexican airline Viva Aerobus inaugurated this Sunday its direct flights between Guadalajara and Bogota (Colombia).

The route will operate two weekly flights on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 186 passengers and A321 aircraft for 240 passengers.

Mexico authorizes commercial alliance between Allegiant Air and Viva Aerobus.

“We celebrate the arrival of new international routes to Colombia that strengthen our competitiveness in terms of connectivity. The entry into operation of the Guadalajara – Bogota route generates great opportunities for the growth of tourism between Colombia and Mexico, and opens a new bridge that brings South America closer to the north of the continent,” said Arturo Bravo, Colombia’s Vice Minister of Tourism.

Viva Aerobus began operations in Colombia in 2021 and currently already flies from Bogota to three destinations: Cancun, Mexico City and Guadalajara.

With this new route, Viva Aerobus further strengthens its presence in the capital of Jalisco, one of its six operating bases. Currently, it is one of the airlines with the widest offer in the state with more than 25 routes to/from Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta.
