The airline will also rehire 80 first officers who have already completed their training with Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland (LAT).

“We are very pleased that, after a two-year hiring freeze, we are able to offer a new generation of pilots job and career prospects as well as an attractive workplace in the air, and can welcome more new colleagues to our cabin crew corps,” says Stefan-Kenan Scheib, Head of Flight Operations at SWISS.

The two-year training of the new SWISS pilots will be provided by the European Flight Academy (EFA), operated by LAT, and will take place at various locations, including Opfikon and Grenchen in Switzerland and Goodyear (Arizona) in the USA.
