Emirates resumes flights to Shanghai and Beijing

Emirates will increase its flights in China ahead of the Lunar New Year and in response to strong travel demand, boosting connectivity to Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing as the country reopens its borders and eases its COVID-related entry restrictions.

The airline will resume passenger services to Shanghai from January 20 with twice-weekly flights operated by Airbus A380 aircraft. This service will increase to four weekly flights operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from February 2, 2023.

The airline will further boost its Dubai-Shanghai route from March 1 with daily nonstop service.

Emirates will also return to China’s capital Beijing with a daily nonstop service from Dubai from March 15, 2023.

From February 1, 2023, the airline will increase services between Dubai and Guangzhou with daily nonstop flights using the Airbus A380. Emirates currently operates the route four times a week.

This will bring the airline’s total number of weekly flights to 21.

Emirates has been serving China for nearly two decades and offers travelers increased connectivity to 24 domestic points via Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai, as well as 6 regional points via Guangzhou through its partnership with China Southern Airline, while providing its partner airline customers access to 6 destinations within the Middle East and Africa regions.
