“We are focused on consolidating our offer to the destinations that Ecuadorian passengers prefer. New York is one of them and now we are adding the option of flying there directly from Quito as well, since we have been flying from Guayaquil since 2021 with very good occupancy. We are starting sales with a promotional fare from Quito starting at USD338 each way, including taxes, while maintaining the Vuela a Tu Medida scheme that allows customers to choose and pay only for what they are going to use on their trip,” said María Beatriz González, Avianca’s Commercial Manager for Ecuador.
With this announcement Avianca consolidates its position as the airline with the largest offer of direct international flights from Ecuador with more than 100 flights per week and more than 200 weekly operations to 5 domestic destinations.
Avianca’s routes from Ecuador this year are:
From Quito to Bogota, San Salvador, San Jose, Buenos Aires, Medellin (starts in March) and New York (starts in June).
From Guayaquil to Bogota, San Salvador, Lima, New York, Medellin (starts in March) and Cartagena (starts in March).
And, the domestic operation connects the cities of Quito, Guayaquil, San Cristobal, Baltra, Cuenca and Manta.
