Copa Airlines Announces New Route to Austin, Texas

Copa Airlines announced Monday that it will operate a new route between Panama City and Austin beginning July 6, 2023, becoming the airline’s first destination connecting the state of Texas to the mainland through the Hub of the Americas.

The route will operate four weekly frequencies (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“We continue to strengthen our network of destinations in the United States. The addition of Austin to our route network represents a window of opportunity to increase business, tourism, cultural and educational exchange between the Texas capital and Panama and our entire region. We are very pleased to be able to provide greater connectivity to our passengers and contribute to the growth of tourism and business in Panama and the countries we serve,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.

The new route strengthens Copa Airlines’ operations in the United States, adding to the fourteen cities the airline operates in the U.S.: Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, New York, Denver, Washington, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale and soon Baltimore starting June 28.
