Avelo Airlines announced the expansion of its flights from Wilmington, North Carolina, with two new nonstop routes to West Palm Beach and Tampa, making it the only airline to operate both routes.
Avelo will begin flights from Wilmington to Palm Beach International Airport on June 22 and to Tampa on June 23. Both routes will be operated by Boeing 737 aircraft, with fares starting at $29.

The airline also reported that it will increase its flights to Orlando beginning June 22, moving to operating four flights per week (Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday), doubling the original frequency.
“Wilmington is growing again. We are getting great support from the community and our flights are consistently filling up. With these two new routes to Palm Beach and Tampa, and the added flights to Orlando, residents of coastal North Carolina can continue to enjoy affordable, convenient and reliable air transportation,” commented Avelo Airlines President and CEO Andrew Levy.
With the addition of these two new destinations, Avelo will now serve six nonstop destinations from Wilmington: Palm Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Tweed-New Haven Airport (Connecticut) and Washington, D.C./Baltimore.
