Avianca will temporarily operate the Bogotá-Los Angeles and San Salvador-Madrid routes through Wet Lease with Wamos Air
Seeking to have a greater capacity and offer in its route network, Avianca contracted the airline Wamos Air to operate its Bogota – Los Angeles – Bogota flights and the new seasonal route San Salvador – Madrid – San Salvador.
This airline has already provided its services to Avianca, allowing it to maintain its commitment to travelers and reliably comply with scheduled itineraries. The wet lease modality (aircraft leasing) is a common practice in the airline industry that seeks to support commercial airline operations, when necessary, such as additional flights for high season or to maintain route network capacity.

About the Bogota – Los Angeles – Bogota route:
In preparation for the incorporation of more Boeing 787 aircraft to its fleet, Avianca will operate in wet lease with Wamos Air the Bogota – Los Angeles – Bogota flights between April 20 and October 28, such operation will be in an Airbus A330-200 aircraft with capacity for 241 passengers.
About the San Salvador – Madrid – San Salvador route:
The new route will be available to fly between June 20 and September 20, 2023, with 3 weekly flights on Wamos Air’s Airbus A330 aircraft.
