SKY airline, with presence in 8 countries in the Americas, announced in the presence of journalists and tour operators in Sao Paulo, that it will strengthen its presence in Brazil by connecting to new destinations in the region.
The airline will start flights Lima – Sao Paulo on July 3rd, becoming the only low cost airline to operate direct flights between these destinations. There will be four weekly frequencies, with fares starting at USD 290 round trip, including taxes and fees.
It also inaugurated new routes that will connect the Brazilian city with destinations in the Caribbean. These are Lima-Cancun and Lima-Punta Cana. Both are already available for sale on the airline’s website with fares starting at USD 570 and USD 586 respectively round trip, to fly from July.

“As SKY we are expanding our presence in Brazil, allowing passengers to travel from Sao Paulo to Lima and to attractive destinations in the Caribbean so they can enjoy the beaches of Cancun and Punta Cana, with convenient fares on the newest and most environmentally friendly fleet in South America,” explained Jaime Fernandez, SKY’s Sales Manager.
The new route to Lima adds to the airline’s operations from different Brazilian cities to Santiago de Chile, such as Florianópolis, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and soon Porto Alegre.
Snow season:
In addition to the offer to the Caribbean and Peru, SKY also offers the option of flying to destinations where travelers can access renowned ski resorts this winter season in Chile, such as Portillo and Valle Nevado which are located in Santiago, Nevados de Chillan in Concepción along with other resorts located in the commune of Pucón, close to the Temuco airport.
“As we know the snow destination is very important for the Brazilian market, that is why we offer a wide offer from Florianopolis, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Porto Alegre to Santiago to enjoy the winter season in central and southern Chile, we are also offering connections from Santiago to Bariloche, where you can find access to the best ski resorts and enjoy the local cuisine,” added Fernandez.
