Iberia Group adds 15 summer destinations

This weekend, most of the Iberia Group’s summer routes will start operating: an offer of 15 destinations to meet the demand for holiday traffic to Europe.

In addition, these summer routes serve to take the pulse of demand in these markets, as happened in the case of Dubronik or, more recently, Funchal, which, as of this winter, has become an annual route.

Tirana, Iberia’s 136th destination

To last year’s summer offer, the airline has added a new destination, Tirana, in Albania. These are charter flights marketed by World2Meet, the travel division of the Iberostar Group.

Iberia will offer flights every Tuesday from June 20 to September 26.

Croatia

On June 3, the first flights to Zagreb, Croatia, will start operating. During the months of June, July and September, Iberia will offer three direct flights a week, and in August they will increase to a daily flight.

Iberia’s direct flights to Split will start on June 18 with three weekly frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays. In July, two additional frequencies will be added on Fridays and Saturdays. In July, two additional frequencies will be added on Fridays and Saturdays, and in August there will be a daily flight.

The company also flies all year round to Dubrovnik; in June and July, one flight every day and in August two daily flights.

Portugal

Flights to Faro, operated by Iberia Regional /Air Nostrum, will also start tomorrow. They start with two weekly frequencies, which in June will be increased to five weekly and in August to a daily flight.

This year, Iberia repeats, for the second consecutive year, flights to Ponta Delgada, in the Azores. It will be from July 3 to September 30; three weekly frequencies in July and August, and two in September.

The Group’s offer in Portugal is completed with year-round flights to Lisbon (up to 36 weekly frequencies), Porto (up to 26 weekly frequencies) and Funchal (up to 7 weekly frequencies).

Italy

Italy is another of the star countries every summer. Tomorrow flights to Catania start tomorrow, with three weekly frequencies in June, six in July and eight in August.

And on Sunday Iberia restarts direct flights to Olbia, in Sardinia, with a weekly frequency that will gradually increase to four weekly frequencies in August.

On June 16, flights to Bari, in southern Italy, will be resumed with three weekly frequencies in June and September, and four weekly frequencies in July and August. These flights will be operated jointly by Iberia and Iberia Express aircraft.

Iberia’s offer in Italy also includes other usual destinations: Rome, Venice, Milan, Florence, Bologna, Naples and Turin.

Greece

As every year, Iberia Express flies to Heraklion, Crete, offering two weekly frequencies from mid-June to mid-September. To Mykonos, where it will offer in the central summer months five and six flights a week respectively. And to Santorini, with one weekly frequency this month, and four and five in July and August respectively. The three destinations begin direct flights on June 16.

And two days later, Iberia launches a third Greek destination, Corfu, where it will fly until September 30 three times a week.

The airline continues to offer summer flights to Athens, increasing in June to 15 weekly frequencies, in July to 21 and in August to 26 flights a week.

Edinburgh, Iceland and Bergen

Iberia Express restarted flights to Keflavic in Iceland at the end of March for another year. It offers two weekly frequencies, except from June 19 to September 14, when it will have three weekly frequencies.

On June 18, it will launch flights to Edinburgh, flying twice a week until September 14.

Iberia will offer twice-weekly flights to Bergen, the Norwegian capital of the fjords, from July 1 to September 2.
