JetSMART announces three new routes between Peru and Colombia
Low-cost airline JetSMART announced Tuesday that it will expand its connectivity between Peru and Colombia with three new routes from Lima to Medellin, Cartagena de Indias and Cucuta.
The Lima-Medellin route will operate five times a week as of November 8, while the Lima-Cartagena route will operate three times a week as of December 7.
In the case of the Lima-Cúcuta route, flights will begin operating on December 12, three times a week.

“JetSMART’s announcement to inaugurate new routes to Medellín, Cartagena and Cúcuta from Lima represents a significant step forward in our strategy to expand international air connectivity to non-traditional destinations,” said ProColombia’s vice president of Tourism, Gilberto Salcedo.
JetSMART’s Communications Director, Víctor Mejía, said the airline’s commitment is to offer travelers “low prices without sacrificing service quality” with fares of US$128 from Cúcuta, US$130 from Cartagena and US$125 from Medellín.
Currently, JetSMART “advances in its technical certification process as an airline operator,” which implies that, according to manifested the airline, “very soon will be able to serve the country’s domestic market.
