The airline Arajet announced that it broke sales records this September 7, when it launched its “737” promotion for its anniversary together with Boeing, in which it offers prices starting at US$7.37 excluding taxes on all its destinations.
The information was released by Victor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, through his X account (formerly Twitter) with a post that read “Yesterday we sold more than 11 thousand tickets. Arajet’s first year started “flying” literally, with our best day ever. Thank you DR and Latin America for preferring us”.

According to the information offered by Pacheco, the destination where most sales originated was Sao Paulo in Brazil, with more than 2 thousand tickets sold, followed by Mexico City and Buenos Aires in Argentina, which translates into the tourist impact that the Dominican Republic will have, as well as the strengthening of connections through the new Caribbean hub in Santo Domingo.
According to the airline, which uses new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, the promotion will continue in September for about two weeks, and on September 15, which is the first anniversary of operations, there will be a celebration in Santo Domingo with gifts, surprises and music.
