LATAM Airlines announced Thursday that it will offer a new nonstop service between Fortaleza and Santiago starting November 30, its eighth route between Brazil and Chile.

LATAM Airlines returns to NYSE this Thursday

“With this new route, we will be the first airline to operate Fortaleza-Santiago, a flight that will carry approximately 14,500 passengers per year and will bring Ceará not only to Chile, but also to Australia and New Zealand, through fast connections in Santiago. This is yet another example of our commitment to Brazil and the regional integration of South America,” said Aline Mafra, LATAM Brazil’s Director of Sales and Marketing.

LATAM is currently the airline that most connects Brazil with Chile, with 70% of the volume of passengers traveling by air between the two countries, according to ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency).

The company’s other direct flights to Santiago take off from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Florianópolis and Porto Alegre.
