Delta Air Lines is expanding its presence in Africa with new non-stop flights from Atlanta, including its first service to Marrakech, Morocco. Starting October 25, 2025, the airline will connect passengers to this historic city while also increasing flight frequencies to Accra, Ghana, to meet winter demand.

Connecting the U.S. with Africa Since 2006

Since Delta began operations in Africa in 2006, it has transported over 7.5 million passengers on routes between the United States and the continent. Currently, it offers year-round direct flights to five African destinations, reinforcing its commitment to global connectivity.

“The new flights to Marrakech and the increased frequencies to Accra strengthen our presence in Africa and offer more opportunities for travelers to enjoy our award-winning service,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning at Delta.

More Options for Traveling to Accra, Ghana

Accra is one of the most sought-after African destinations, especially during peak season. To meet this demand, the airline is introducing a daily non-stop service from Atlanta, complementing its year-round operation from New York-JFK.

Starting in December, Delta will operate the Atlanta-Accra route with the Airbus A330-900neo, an aircraft that has already debuted on the New York JFK-Accra route. This option offers an enhanced experience with Delta One Suites and greater comfort in all cabins.

“Africa is home to dynamic cities, rich traditions, and growing economies. Delta is making it easier to access these opportunities,” emphasized Matteo Curcio, Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India.
