Lufthansa has added the Airbus A350-900 to its operations in Frankfurt, enabling passengers to fly to various international destinations aboard one of the most advanced and efficient aircraft on the market. The airline has deployed four of these planes and plans to add two more in May and July.
A350 Destinations from Frankfurt
Lufthansa’s Airbus A350-900 aircraft are already operating routes to Seoul and Shanghai as of March 30. In the coming months, the airline will expand its operations with this model to include:
- Denver, starting May 1.
- Seattle, beginning July 1.

This strategy addresses the need to bridge the gap caused by delays in new aircraft deliveries, as explained by Jens Ritter, CEO of Lufthansa Airlines.
Fleet Renewal: A Long-Term Commitment
Lufthansa is undergoing the largest fleet renewal process in its history. Over the next 36 months, the airline will receive 61 new aircraft, averaging one new plane every two weeks until the end of 2027.
Currently, Lufthansa already operates 30 A350-900 units from its Munich hub and plans to add 14 more to this base by 2029. However, aircraft equipped with the innovative Allegris cabin will continue to operate exclusively from the Bavarian capital.
