Starting September 3, 2025, Avelo Airlines passengers can enjoy a more comfortable onboard experience with the new Stretch and Stretch+ seating options. This initiative reinforces the airline’s commitment to customer comfort while maintaining its signature affordable, reliable, and convenient service.
What Do Stretch and Stretch+ Offer?
With these two new alternatives, the airline expands its seating offerings to cater to travelers’ diverse needs. The Stretch option provides extra legroom, ideal for those who want greater freedom of movement during the flight. Meanwhile, Stretch+ goes a step further: in these rows, the middle seat is intentionally left vacant, offering a more spacious and private experience.
These new configurations will be available for an additional fee on all flights operated by the airline. Interested passengers can now book these upgraded seats through Avelo’s website for flights departing on or after the official launch in September.

Brian Davis, Chief Commercial Officer of Avelo Airlines, emphasized the company’s approach: “Stretch and Stretch+ reflect our commitment to giving travelers more choices and comfort while staying true to what sets us apart: convenient, reliable, and affordable service. We know comfort matters, and this new option enhances the experience for those who seek it—without compromising the value our Customers expect from us.”
A Strategic Move in a Competitive Market
With this move, Avelo aligns with a growing industry trend: offering greater personalization without completely transforming its low-cost business model. The added value of these upgrades could make a difference for a segment of passengers seeking a balance between price and comfort.
The decision also responds to the demand for more personal space onboard, a preference that has gained momentum in recent years. Avelo aims to solidify its position as an efficient and flexible alternative for those flying within the United States.
