Porter Airlines has taken another step in its international expansion strategy with the launch this Thursday of its year-round scheduled service between Toronto Pearson and New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
Up to Three Daily Flights and Greater Flexibility
The new route offers up to three daily flights, all operating from LaGuardia’s modern Terminal B. This frequency provides more options for travelers visiting one of the world’s most dynamic and busiest cities, whether for business or leisure.
Flight Schedule:
Route | Departure | Arrival |
Toronto → LaGuardia | 7:15 a.m. 2:50 p.m. 7:25 p.m. | 8:55 a.m. 4:30 p.m. 9:05 p.m. |
LaGuardia → Toronto | 6:15 a.m. 9:55 a.m. 5:30 p.m. | 7:55 a.m. 11:35 a.m. 7:10 p.m. |

A Differentiated Service in the Economy Category
Flights are operated using the modern Embraer E195-E2, an aircraft with a capacity for 132 passengers and a 2-2 seating configuration, eliminating the discomfort of middle seats. Onboard, passengers enjoy free and fast WiFi, beer and wine served in glassware, and premium snacks included with all tickets—all part of Porter’s distinctive “all-economy” concept.
For those seeking greater comfort, PorterReserve fares offer priority check-in, extra legroom seats, and increased flexibility for changes. These benefits can also be purchased individually with the PorterClassic fare.
Expanding Connectivity Between Canada and the United States
According to Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting at Porter Airlines: “New York is a key market for Porter, and this new service to LaGuardia complements our established operations at Newark. By adding a second airport in the metropolitan area, we provide travelers with greater convenience and capacity.”
The addition of LaGuardia allows Porter to offer a unique combination of airports: Billy Bishop, Pearson, Newark, and now LaGuardia, significantly increasing connection options between Toronto and New York.
This new service not only strengthens ties between the two cities but also opens the door to multiple destinations across Canada. Through the hub at Toronto Pearson, travelers from New York can easily connect to cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Vancouver.
