Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras have forged a key alliance in their frequent flyer programs. This new agreement allows members of Etihad Guest and Azul Fidelidade to earn and redeem miles on both airlines, integrating two of the most dynamic networks in international and regional air travel.
Direct Benefits for Frequent Flyers
Through this partnership, Etihad Guest members can redeem their miles on Azul-operated flights, as well as for hotel stays, vacation packages, and products from the Etihad Guest Reward Shop. Similarly, Azul Fidelidade members can use their points for hotel bookings, car rentals, and products or services available in the Azul Fidelidade Shopping catalog.
Mark Potter, Managing Director of Etihad Guest, stated: “Signing this frequent flyer agreement with Azul is both exciting and significant. It opens access to Azul’s impressive network, offering more ways to earn and redeem miles while discovering destinations across the Americas. We also look forward to welcoming Azul Fidelidade members onboard Etihad Airways with our renowned Emirati hospitality.”

New Routes, More Possibilities
This agreement marks a strategic shift in how members of both programs explore the world. Etihad Guest now connects to key destinations in Brazil, such as São Paulo, Salvador, and Recife, as well as international routes from South America to Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Curaçao. This expands travel options for the Emirati program’s users across the Americas.
On the other hand, Azul Fidelidade customers will gain access to Etihad’s expanding network, exploring Asian destinations like Krabi, Phnom Penh, and Taipei. The synergy significantly broadens travel and loyalty opportunities for those flying to and from South America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Commitment to Global Expansion
Cristina Yoshida, Director of Azul Fidelidade, emphasized: “We are thrilled to offer our customers the chance to discover extraordinary destinations served by Etihad in the Middle East and Asia, while also welcoming new members interested in exploring Brazil. This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering global benefits alongside companies renowned for their service excellence and customer experience.”
The alliance comes at a time of simultaneous growth for both airlines. Etihad Airways recently announced 27 new routes for 2025, expanding its global network to over 100 destinations. Meanwhile, Azul continues to lead the Brazilian market with a domestic network spanning more than 137 destinations.
